Purelux Panther S300 Gen2 is an updated version of the smallest auxiliary light ramp in the super-popular Panther series. The original S300 left other ramps of the same size class far behind in all aspects, and the updated Gen2 version increases the distance even further due to renewed reflector technology and light. Thanks to the reflectors, the ramp's light pattern is now broader than before, effectively illuminating the road with a consistent beam from side to side. All ramps in the Panther series are equipped with dual-color parking lights, but most importantly, Purelux PowerBoost® technology, which means the auxiliary light can be activated in either the limited E-marked power mode or the PowerBoost® mode designed for off-road driving. The unrestricted PowerBoost® mode surpasses the E-mark, unleashing the full power, producing up to an incredible 7561 lumens with a range that reaches nearly half a kilometer (@ 1 lux)! Purelux Panther Gen2 S300 is an extremely powerful auxiliary light, with an emphasizing on power!
Purelux PowerBoost® - Most auxiliary lights sold today come with what is known as an E-marking. This signifies that the auxiliary lights must be power-limited to meet the traffic approval requirements in certain European countries. These regulations may not apply to every country; some countries might have special exceptions. To comply with these regulations, manufacturers produce auxiliary lights with E-markings, enabling them to be sold throughout the entire European market. Consequently, the output is limited in nearly all additional lights. However, by activating the PowerBoost® mode, you can bypass the E-marking and unleash the full potential of the auxiliary lights when the approval is not needed, in for example offroad or rally uses.
The light pattern for the Panther S300 Gen2 is best described as oval, softly delimited in the vertical direction. The updated model still features a combined light pattern that illuminates far and wide, but with improved reflector technology, the Gen2 significantly differs from its predecessor as the light spreads even wider. With a balanced and combined light pattern, the road is evenly and comfortably illuminated without creating a disruptive light ball directly in front. The vertical position of the light pattern has also been adjusted to direct more light towards the edges and sides of the road. This adjustment provides sufficient height to illuminate uneven terrain, reducing the formation of sharp shadows, such as behind snowbanks. Despite the noticeably broader light compared to its predecessor, the measured range of the light in Purelux PowerBoost mode is up to 481 meters @ 1 lux, and in the limited mode, it's 390 meters @ 1 lux.
Purelux Panther S300 Gen2 is an auxiliary light designed for the most challenging conditions in the north and is prepared to handle the most extreme conditions as a daily affair. The size of the Purelux Panther S300 Gen2 is excellent for front installation on cars, vans, and SUVs. Of course, the auxiliary light is also suitable for heavy equipment, as its smaller size allows for neat and discreet installation behind the front grille or for the installation of two or more lights on the roof. With its PowerBoost mode, the auxiliary light is exceptional for vehicles that primarily operate off-road, such as snowmobiles, ATVs, and other off-road vehicles. Regardless of the vehicle type, the Panther S300 Gen2 enhances the driving experience and improves safety on the road
The color temperature of 5000K has been optimized for the challenging Nordic conditions, making it comfortable for the eyes even in situations like driving in the dark or snowy landscapes. The balanced color temperature makes it easier to perceive the terrain's shapes and contours while not straining the eyes during long drives. Additionally, a color temperature of 5000 Kelvin is more suitable than cooler color temperatures in adverse weather conditions such as fog and rain. The 5000K color temperature also complements newer cars with LED or Xenon lights.
Unlike usual, no extra cord needs to be connected or disconnected to activate the lamp's different power modes, but switching between PowerBoost® and road mode is unprecedentedly easy by pressing the button at the end of the lamp. The last used power mode remains in the lamp's "memory", and thus there is no need, for example, in road traffic use, to ensure that the lamp always turns on at maximum power, when the power is turned off in between and the car starts moving again.
NOTE! The difference between PowerBoost® and road traffic mode is clearly noticeable in use - PowerBoost® is significantly more efficient. PowerBoost® is designed for off-road use.
"Purelux Panther series is made with uncompromising quality and top of the line performance. Every feature is finely tuned to fit any type of situation and vehicle. Don't hesitate, ride with the Panther!” - Purelux
The auxiliary light's edgeless lens is made of UV-protective and virtually unbreakable polycarbonate, capable of withstanding both stone impacts and scratches from branches. The edgeless lens prevents the accumulation of snow, ice, or dirt, ensuring that the lens stays clean even during driving in adverse weather conditions.
Even the lamp fixture itself is optimized for rugged use, thanks to its powder-coated and UV-protected aluminum. This helps it resist scratches, fading, and other tough conditions. Additionally, the fixture is highly resistant to corrosion. The auxiliary light's protection class IP68/IP69K attests to its durable and compact structure! With its dark optics and parking lights that can shine in either white or orange, the auxiliary light becomes completely irresistible, a real delight for the eye! Perhaps even the most stylish LED ramp on the market?
The auxiliary light comes with both traditional side mounts and width-adjustable rail mounts beneath the light, providing plenty of mounting options. Installation is made easy with the 2-pin DT connector pre-attached to the auxiliary light's power cable, and the wide operating voltage range (9-32 V) allows for installation in both 12V and 24V systems. The auxiliary light's reference number (30) allows for installation alongside nearly all standard auxiliary lights without rendering the original ones inoperative. Additionally, the auxiliary light is protected against radio interference in accordance with the ECE R10 standard. Two years (24 months) warranty
