SCANIA sign illuminated lightbase - multicolour RGB

Waterproof LED light base for the original SCANIA sign, mounted on the hood. A bright LED strip combined with frosted or clear polycarbonate creates a striking neon-like background glow for the sign. The LED strip is potted, ensuring IP65 protection.

The base can be mounted on the front, rear, or sides – for example, using a red version at the back and white or amber at the front. It can also be installed inside the cabin, where the light can be dimmed using standard LED dimmers.

The SCANIA sign is not included – you will need to reuse your existing one or purchase a new sign separately.

Earlier versions of this light base were made from acrylic, while the current version is manufactured from cast polycarbonate, offering significantly higher impact resistance compared to brittle acrylic.

RGB VERSION (MULTICOLOR)

An RGB version is also available, allowing you to change the backlight color according to your preferences. This lets you match the lighting effect to your vehicle’s style, specific occasions, or your overall lighting setup. Depending on the configuration, colors and lighting effects (such as transitions or pulsing) can be controlled via an RGB controller. This is the perfect option for those who want a standout visual effect and a fully customized look.

INSTALLATION

The base features M5 threaded inserts, making installation easy using M5 bolts, or alternatively, it can be glued in place. A total of 7 bolts are required – stainless steel bolts are strongly recommended.

Finally, the original SCANIA sign is mounted on top using its factory double-sided adhesive tape.

Each part of the base is equipped with a 3-meter cable.
